The areas of this program introduces students to 12 main areas, including, but not limited to single stick, double stick, stick & dagger, double dagger, Panatukan (Filipino boxing), Sikaran (Filipino kicking methods), Kuntao & Silat.
Drills and techniques are taught in a fluid, non-restrictive manner that allow students to enhance their natural attributes and improve their sense of timing, speed, awareness, balance, agility, and confidence.
The training develops and heightens student’s awareness of their surroundings and teaches them to use their environment as tools of combat. Everyday objects, such as umbrellas, books, bandannas, etc., become effective means of self-defense in the hands of a properly trained individual.
The Filipino Martial Arts taught at ICS Academy are drawn from Armas de Mano Eskrima, Inosanto-Lacoste Kali, and ComTech Eskrima.

PTTA HISTORY

The Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association was founded by Tuhon Jared Wihongi in 2002. The idea of an association dedicated to the tactical application of Pekiti-Tirsia was based on Tuhon Jared’s extensive background as a Police Trainer, SWAT Operator and an Army Special Forces Combatives Instructor. The original concept of the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association was an organization dedicated to training the Tri-V Method of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali with a strict emphasis on Tactical Application. The mission has since grown to encompass TRICOM (Tri-Angle Combatives) Law Enforcement/ Military training modules, “Classical Pekiti-Tirsia” training methodologies in addition to the Tri-V Method.
The roots of our knowledge were guided by Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. during his most active years training the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces. He was instrumental in the guiding mission and principles of the PTTA, and acted as Chief Technical Advisor to the Board of Directors for over a decade. The PTTA was one of the primary organizations that operated under the umbrella of the now defunct Pekiti-Tirsia Global Grand Alliance.

Integrated Combat Systems NWA is proud to be an authorized training center for Pekiti-Tirsia Kali PTTA under Tuhon Jared Wihongi.
